Empress Theater has late fall comedy, music, and vocalists

The Empress Theater has some exciting show scheduled for November, with comedy, music, and vocalists.

It starts on November 7 at 8:00 pm, when Bony James, a composer and saxophonist, will perform. He is set to release his 16th album, titled ‘Honestly’.

The Film Club will present a movie on November 8 at 7:30 pm called ‘I Am Cuba’. It tells the story of the poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko, who lived during the times of political oppression in Cuba.

Derrick O’Neal present The Very Essence of Luther Vandross with Greg Ballad on November 10 at 8:00 pm. The group pays tribute to the legendary soul singer with costumes, background singers, and dancing.

The Ray Midon Sunday Champagne Brunch takes place on November 11 at 1:00 pm, with the VIP Champagne Brunch served at 11:30 am. Singer and guitarist Midon will no doubt be playing songs of his latest album ‘If You Want’, released in September.

Join Buttah and the ButtahLuv Band give a musical tribute to Aretha Franklin on November. 11 at 7:30 pm. Nicole Pearson (aka Buttah) is an interactive stage performer.

On November 16, comedian Myles Weber and Friends will perform at 8:00 pm. Weber won first place in the 40th Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition.

Finally, on November 17 at 8:00 pm, The Ray Charles Project, a musical tribute to the performer takes place, where well-known local jazz and blues musicians pay tribute to his music. Tony Lindsay, the Santana vocalist and 11-time Grammy award winner, will be performing with the group.

The theater is located at 330 Virginia Street in Vallejo, and has a dance floor and full bar. Vallejo has print shops that can provide poster printing for events like this.
