Studio City set for the shivers

October 25, 2018 by

Two completely opposite poles of the Halloween spectrum will be coming to our area soon.

The LA Department of Parks will be holding its annual Halloween Family Festival and Universal Studios will be hosting Halloween Horror Nights 2018.

The tamer of the two events will bring Studio City families and friends together to play carnival games and collect candy. Little ones can jump in the Moonbounce, and everyone can take part in a Halloween costume contest. Winners in contests like this enjoy having pictures taken of themselves and their awards. These can then go to local print shops for posture printing, or to stationery printers for family calendars, holiday cards or personalized stationery.

Toward the end of the evening there will be a screening of the Halloween favorite ‘Hocus Pocus’.

Four days later, on Halloween night, Universal Studios will present one of its Halloween Horror Nights. Eight mazes will include poltergeist and bloodthirsty slasher encounters, the resurrection of Universal Monsters, Trick, a fight for survival with the Walking Dead, and a terrifying surprise ending.

Halloween Family Festival will be this Saturday, October 27, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Studio City Recreation Center 12621 Rye St.

The Halloween night Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights will be October 31, from 7:00 pm until 2:00 am at Universal Studios, 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City.
