Riverside goes on annual ghost walk

October 23, 2018 by

Riverside actors, vocalists, storytellers, writers and musicians are busily practicing their art getting ready for the annual Ghost Walk Riverside.

The event will consist of four unique and distinctive story-telling walking tours. Tours range from family-friendly fun for youngsters, to more chilling experiences for the not-so-faint-of-heart.

This year’s lineup will include a PG 13-rated Never Turn Your Back tour. North High School students will be haunting the Riverside Police Station, the Old Morgue, Courthouse, and the Coffee Court.

Another PG 13 one will be Be Warned – It’s Alive. King High School will be presenting theatrical storytelling in the Showcase Theater and Riverside Trolley.

A PG tour will include a visit to Tilden Coil, Parish House and the Riverside Library. Performers for this tour will be from Poly High School.

Another PG tour will be the No Where to Go but Inside. These tours will take place inside Tower Realty, Loring Building, and the Mission Inn Annex.

Tours will begin every 20 minutes and tickets will be required. Tickets are $15 and can be obtained online.

There will be plenty of live music and entertainment along the tour routes, including a kids’ carnival. Towns with events such as this take photos for next year’s Visitor Guide brochure printing.

Ghost Walk Riverside is slated for this Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm in Downtown Riverside Pedestrian Mall starting at 3834 Main Street. It will take place rain or shine.
