Williston Park asks for bids

October 29, 2018 by

The Village of Williston Park recently put out a call for sealed bids, for the project known as the ‘Syracuse Street Elevated Tank Replacement Contract No. 2 Chemical and Metering Compliance’.

The tank under consideration is the main water tank for the village, which is nearly 90 years old, and is exhibiting corrosion, as well as reaching the end of its useful life.

In order to be considered, all companies interested in bidding have to obtain a set of Contract Documents. The documents, which comprise Drawings, Technical Specifications, a Maintenance Bond, a Performance Bond, a Payment Bond, Supplementary Conditions pursuant to General Conditions, the Agreement, Bid Bond, Bid, Instructions to Bidders, and an Advertisement for Bids, can be inspected at the offices of D&B Engineers and Architects, P.C., at 330 Crossways Park Drive in Woodbury, New York, 11797-2015.

Bidders can obtain the copies they need at D&B Engineers and Architects after they deposit a check in the amount of $100 made out to the ‘Incorporated Village of Williston Park’. These deposits can be made at any time between now and the bid closing date. A project like this, which involves replacing a landmark, gives officials an opportunity to consider a new logo design.

Williston Park’s Village Clerk must receive the sealed bids no later than 2.00 pm on Thursday, November 1. They will be opened and read aloud on that day.
