Jacksonville goes on a mud run

October 25, 2018 by

Jacksonville will be the site of the Jacksonville Florida Terrain Racing Mud Run 2018 early next month.

The 5K race will be run through, around and over 20+ obstacles. They will include cargo nets, mud crawls, slipper slides, monkey bars, mud tubes, Tarzan swings, and tricky terrain. Although the obstacles are built so one runner can manage them, the organizers suggest that everyone in the open waves should bring a friend to help them navigate the huge walls. Runners may decide to run the course more than once.

Everyone who completes the course will receive finishers’ medals sporting the competition logo design, and cash awards will go to fastest female and male finishers.

Spectators are welcome at the finish line. Many may want to get some banner printing done for something to show their support for their favorite runners.

The free Terrain Festival will begin right after the race. Food and drink vendors will be at the site.

The Mud Run will be November 10 at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center, 13611 Normandy Boulevard.

Males in the competitive waves will begin at 8:00 am while the women competitors will begin at 8:05 am. Those who run the course more than once will start at 8:15 am, and open waves will start in 15-minute intervals from then until noon. Mini Money Half-Miles will be at 10:05 and 11:05 am.
