Locals to help keep Fort Worth clean

October 19, 2018 by

Keep Fort Worth Beautiful invites all city residents to take part in their annual Neighborhood Litter Stomp effort.

The effort is an opportunity for businesses, individuals, or groups to help beautify their own neighborhoods and those around them by cleaning up a pre-chosen spot in Fort Worth. The organization has a list of cleanup hubs that need this type of attention. All locations are public spaces and not private residences. Volunteers may also choose their own public spot if their preference is not already on the list.

Help to spread the word by informing friends and coworkers or by poster printing the details about the event for businesses to display. The first 2,000 people that register will receive a T-shirt and all registrants get gloves and bags to use for the cleanup.

Registration is free, and each volunteer registers as either an individual or a member of a group. Group leaders can give a total of the people in their group, as well give the group name to others that want to join after they register. New volunteers can add their name to the group registration at any point before the cleanup effort begins. All volunteers must visit the Eventbrite website to register.

The Neighborhood Litter Stomp is tomorrow, October 20, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The cleanup hubs chosen by the organizers include Echo Lake Park, the Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods, and Eugene McCray Park.
