The Lexington Children’s Theater has some exciting productions scheduled for late fall and early winter.

Snowy Days and Other Stories by Ezra Jack Keats will be performed on November 4 at 2:00 pm, November 10 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, and November 11 at 2:00 pm. The production will be one hour long.

In the play, protagonist Peter learns to explore outdoors in the snow, deal with bullies, and mail a letter. The show has musical performances and puppetry, and is for children ages four and up.

A Charlie Brown Christmas will be performed on December 1 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, December 2 at 2:00 pm, and December 8 at 2:00 pm. It is a holiday production based on the Charles M. Schultz television special.

In the play, Charlie Brown is not in the Christmas spirit this year despite his friends’ excitement. In the end, his friends show him what Christmas really means. The show is for Pre-K and up.

Jack and the Wonder Beans will be performed on December 15 at 11:00 am and December 16 at 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm. The show is a retelling of the classic fairytale in which children can participate by singing, making noises, and helping Jack defeat the giants. The one-hour play is for ages four and up.

The theater is located at 418 West Short Street. On-street and garage parking is available and at the Square Parking garage. Several restaurants are located nearby. Lexington has print shops that provide design and poster printing for productions like these.
