Malden comedy night to support breast cancer awareness

The annual Comedy Night will be held by the Malden Chamber of Commerce for the seventh consecutive year in a few days.

Joan Ford Mongeau, Executive Director of the Chamber, said this event should be as fun and rewarding as previous evenings. Featured comics for the evening will be Lenny Clarke, Julie Nolan, Anthony Scibelli, Paull Gilligan, and Dave Russo. Russo, Gilligan, and Scibelli are graduates of Malden High School.

Proceeds of the evening will benefit the Breast Center of the Cambridge Health Alliance. Morgeau added that the event enables people to come together and network, laugh, and help support an important charitable organization. Patty Kelly, President of the Chamber Board of Directors, commented that having the event in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, makes this year’s beneficiary even more significant. The Chamber is always looking to partner with the many nonprofits in the city for this and other events.

Tickest for the event, which cost $40, include a buffer dinner, a show with five acts, and the opportunity to try a signature cocktail of the event, which was created and named by Century Bank and Wilko Systems, who are platinum sponsors of the evening.

Comedy Night will be held on Thursday, October 18 at 7:30 pm at Mixx 360 in Malden. Events like these often use poster printing for promoting themselves and the charitable organizations they support.
