Fall fair now in motion

The Arizona State Fair is up and running, with lots of fun things for everyone to do.

The party takes place at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix, so Casa Grande residents need to pack up the car and make the short journey.

The fair features rides, exhibits, live music, carnival games, and fast food. Plus, there are loads of new rides, exhibits, shows, and food for people to sample this year.

Shows new to the fair this year include ‘King Tut & the Egyptian Treasures’, an exhibit featuring artifacts from the tombs of various Egyptian rulers including Nefertari, Ramses II, and King Tutankhamun himself. There is a $5 admission fee for the show.

Danny Scheible, an artist based in California, is presenting his ‘Tapigami’ show, which features jewelry, animals, and scale-model cities, all made of Scotch tape. The exhibit can be found in the Shopping Pavilion, and is free with admission to the fair. In order to help visitors find specific locations, organizers of events like this can work with a poster printing company to create directional signs.

As part of the Thrill Show, a robotic dinosaur known as Megasaurus will tear a car in half. The robot is 30 feet long and 50 feet tall, and will be in the shows from October 12 to 14.

The fair is running from October 5 through October 28. Complete information is available on the fair’s website.
