London library holds fall events

It looks set to be a busy fall in London, as the Laurel County Public Library has multiple events lined up.

Next Monday, October 15, Kristina McFeeters, who owns the vegetarian cafe and bakery Kristina’s Kitchen in Whitley City, will host ‘Soup’s On’. McFeeters will show attendees how to make healthy soup at home, along with cornbread. Those who attend will get to taste prepared items and take home the recipes.

Soup’s On will take place from 6:00 until 7:30pm. Advanced registration, by calling 606-864-5759 or visiting LaurelLibrary.org, is required.

A few days later, on Wednesday, October 17, the library will screen a film as part of its Wednesday Matinee Movie program. The library’s performance license makes it so that it cannot advertise the name of the film, but it tells the story of a schoolboy with facial differences, is rated PG, and will begin at 2:00 pm on the day.

Those are interested in fact versus fiction and in local legends are invited to attend the Bluegrass Bigfoot Program on Saturday, October 20 at 11:00 am. During the program, the founder of the Kentucky Bigfoot Research Organization, Charlie Raymond, will present eyewitness stories and potential evidence of Bigfoot.

Local libraries can use banner printing to highlight the range of programs and events they have coming up during the season.
