Local candy shop relocates in Frankfort

October 10, 2018 by

Kernel Sweetooth has moved to new location in Frankfort after having left the city late last year.

The new shop is larger than the previous one in the Trolley Barn shopping center and will be holding a one-day grand opening celebration.

The grand opening is being held so the shop can show off its new space and thank the community for its support. There will be giveaways and musical entertainment by The Real Gone from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm, with samples of sweets also available.

At the new shop, there will be the usual selectin of novelty and bulk candy, homemade fudge and chocolate treats, homemade gourmet caramel apples, and a variety of homemade gourmet popcorn flavors. Also being offered at the shop are Hawaiian shaved ice and Sherman’s ice-cream.

The Trolley Barn location was closed last year as the landlord would not renew the shop’s lease. Kernel Sweetooth kept its location in Tinley Park, but now that has been closed with the larger space emerging in Frankfort.

The special grand opening will be held this Saturday, October 13, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. Various kinds of promotional products can be distributed at such events to publicize the opening of a well-known shop in a new part of town and its many unique items and specialties of the house.
