Conroe gets fall thrills at local park

The 18th Annual Thrill at the Mill 2018 will be opening for the fall season at the end of October. It will be followed by the 17th Annual October Pumpkin Patch.

The former event, along with all the fun of Pumpkin Patch Day, will include free candy that will be passed out to kids, and a vendor market that will have something for everyone. Families take pictures at events such as these and take them to local print shops to be included in family calendars.

The 17th Annual 7 Acre Wood October Pumpkin Patch will open the next day, and everyone can meet barnyard friends, visit the petting zoo, and play at the playground, while older kids can enjoy mini-golf, tetherball, and carnival games. Some may want to slide down the rope slide and play in the Western play town Tombstone. There will be pony, hay and train rides, paintball, face painting, and pumpkins. Little ones can enjoy the huge sandbox, chalk room, and Lego room. Although admission to this event will be free, there will be small fees for concessions such as baked sweets, rides, pumpkins, and face painting.

The Thrill at the Mill and Vendors Market will be October 27 starting at 9:00 am. The October Pumpkin Patch will be Saturday, October 28 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Both events will be at 7 Acre Family Fun Park at 4401 North Frazier.
