Seasonal feast held at agricultural high school

The Farm to Table Feast was recently held for the second year on the grounds of the Bristol Agricultural High School and hosted by the Bristol Aggie Educational Foundation, Inc. As the school serves residents and students of Bristol County, in which Fall River is located, no doubt many residents of the city attended the event.

In addition to the serving of chicken and vegetables raised on the grounds of the school, many other local businesses donated items to the feast, including Kyler’s Catch Seafood Market, River Rock Farm, Ocean Spray, and Somerset Creamery. Janice Dey of The Westporter prepared the meal.

The floricultural department of the school designed and decorated the tables with products harvested on campus. Candles added a welcoming and warm feeling to the fall evening, and music was provided by the DeJa Blu Trio.

Proceeds of the dinner will benefit the students and staff at the school. President of the foundation, John Mitchell, thanked attendees for their support and spoke of the impact on the students and the school from their support.

Adele Sands, Superintendent of Bristol Aggie, added her appreciation of the support of the community and how their attendance at the dinner demonstrated how much they value the school and its services.

Organizers of this type of event often use flyer printing to highlight the importance of such a school to the community
