Bellerose area celebrates fall with festival

October 2, 2018 by

Fall is here, and soon it will be time for Bellerose families to celebrate the season with an afternoon at the Harvest Fest and Pumpkin Patch Festival.

Adults will be heading to the Beer and Wine Garden, while the youngsters go to the petting zoo, enjoy the magic and puppet shows on the Kids’ Stage, and get their faces painted. There will be a percussion circle, lawn and trivia games, and botanical, composting, and garden demonstrations.

Food trucks and other food vendors will be selling fall treats, and craft vendors will be vending indoor and outdoor fall decorations for the home and office. Interested passersby may want to get business cards from their favorite crafters to order custom work after the festival.

Everyone will want to go to the Pumpkin Patch and select this year’s pumpkin. Although entrance to the patch will be free, pumpkins will cost $6 apiece.

Sponsors are getting their logo designs to the festival organizers as soon as they can to ensure their spot on the onsite banners before the organizers take the logos to a local print shop for banner printing. Sponsors will also have booths at the event where representatives will be handing out promotional products such as pens, pencils, visors, and mugs.

The Harvest Fest and Pumpkin Patch will be Sunday, October 14 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Queens Botanical Garden, 4350 Main Street, Flushing.
