The 28th annual SOS Celebrity Chef Dinner is taking place later this week in Huntington Beach, and will be a fundraiser for the Share our Serves Food Pantry.

The evening will start off with an outdoor cocktail reception with interactive food stations, wine and beer tastings, a silent auction, musical entertainment and a photo booth. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with representatives from SOS (Share our Selves)and their local business peers.

The event will continue with a gourmet dinner prepared by several local area chefs. So far, confirmed chefs include Michael Beck of Hotel Irvine, Eric Mickle from Orange Hill Restaurant, and Octavio Flores of SOL Cocina, with more to be named later.

The evening will include a live auction where guests can bid for a variety of prizes donated by local businesses and individuals.

SOS provides not only a food pantry, but medical and dental care for the homeless and those with a low income. The organization also offers a variety of social services.

The celebrity influence of this event is likely to attract guests from across Orange County, including Costa Mesa. Local print shops are often asked to help advertise events like this by providing printed flyers and invitations.

The SOS Celebrity Chef Dinner will be held at the Pasea Hotel and Spa this Friday, October 5. Tickets are $195 each. Contact Elizabeth Hopkins at 714-885-9090 for more information.
