The Virginia Children’s Festival, held at Towne Point Park in the downtown Norfolk area, has many exciting activities for kids ages 10 and younger next weekend.

It has science experiments, crafts, dance performances, a petting zoo, train rides, games, and more. Metered and garage parking is available.

The festival Educational Station has science experiments using electricity, dry ice, and chemicals. Kids can participate in activities at the School of Pirates, where there are interactive science labs, lawn games, and craft projects.

Friendship Path has a Lego building section for kids. There is a Town Plot Train Depot that provides train rides too. Norfolk printing services can provide flyer printing for all kinds of events of this nature.

At the festival, children can blow bubbles, learn about sound, or discover how to recycle. Toddler Town has a gated area with toys for climbing, jumping, and playing.

The Discovery Zone has an exotic animal display. In this zone, kids will meet the popular ‘Pinkalicious’ book characters, play in a sand box, or attend a teddy bear tea.

The Fun Zone has the Lemonade Ripple Nook, where kids can listen to stories and drink lemonade. There is face painting, costumed characters, and live theater performances.

The Virginia Children’s Festival runs on Saturday, October 6 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Food and beverages will be available.
