Georgia horticulturalists preparing for Snellville area workshop

September 28, 2018 by

Some of Georgia’s top horticultural presenters will be sharing their knowledge as part of a day of Snellville area workshops that will be organized by the Center for Urban Agriculture.

The event will be focusing on five different topics, and each will be presented by an expert in the field. The attendees may qualify for up to five educational credits for their pesticide applicator license, and those who work with trees can receive 4 ISA Arborist continuing education credits.

The subjects on the slate for discussion range from preventing, diagnosing and treating diseases in turfgrass, to mosquito control and the fungi that can affect trees. Participants will be able to add to their learning by asking the presenters questions, and they can also share their experiences and best practices with one another.

Anyone who is interested in sitting in on this educational opportunity has been asked to register ahead of time, and the fee to do so has been set at $25 each. A printing services provider can use comb binding and other techniques to craft manuals and other handouts for an event like this.

October 1 is the deadline to sign up for this workshop, which will be taking place on October 5. Taking place in Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville, the day is scheduled to begin at 8:00 am, and it will continue until 3:15 pm.
