Schenectady the place to be for fall fun

September 28, 2018 by

In Schenectady, fall equals fun, and an event has been planned that will celebrate the season.

Guests at the Schenectady County Fall Foliage Festival will be treated to a variety of autumn activities, and most of them will be family friendly.

The free festivities will offer plenty for all ages. The younger guests can enjoy meeting some animals in the petting zoo, and there will also be pony rides. The whole family can warm up with a cup of hot cider while they settle in for a hay ride, and there will also be pumpkin painting and other crafts, a dog herding demo, and the chance to see live birds of prey. The grown-ups in the crowd may wish to head to the craft fair and beer tent, and all ages can take in a historic demonstration and sample the hot, freshly made donuts that will be on offer.

The organizers of the function are currently accepting applications from any local vendors that would like to be a part of the day. Business cards, custom packaging, and other items can be prepared by a printer for any businesses that will be participating in an event like this.

This Sunday afternoon of autumn themed fun will be taking place on October 14 at 100 Main Street in Rotterdam Junction. More information for both the public and vendors can be found on the Schenectady County Historical Society’s website.
