Lidl to open sixth store in Charlotte area

September 18, 2018 by

Concord will soon be home to the newest Lidl store in the Charlotte area. This will be the German chain’s six such store in the area.

Among the offerings at the store will a large selection of wine and beer, a bakery with pastries and breads, a section for gluten-free and organic foods, and an area of Lidl surprises, where the selection of goods changes over time and can include outdoor furniture, toys, and clothing.

Lidl is known for its smaller stores and relatively low prices. Its first stores in the Charlotte area were in Gastonia, Rock Hill, and Indian Land, South Carolina, and opened about a year ago. It recently opened a store in Indian Trial and plans to open more stores on South Boulevard and Mooresville, in addition to other locations.

The store will open tomorrow, September 19, at 8:00 am. There will be a short ribbon-cutting ceremony, after which the first 100 customers who shop at the store will receive a wooden coin, which they can redeem in amounts ranging from $5 to $100.

Other special deals and samples will also be given away throughout the first week the store is open. Techniques such as flyer printing companies can be used to make residents in the area aware of such specials and other offerings.
