Studio City set for seasonal spooks

September 20, 2018 by

All Studio City ghosts and goblins are lining up for the opening night of the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride 2018 coming at the end of September. This will be the 10th anniversary for the event.

This year’s ride is a composite of all the nightmarish rides that have taken place over the years, plus some new “larger than life” additions. The Haunted Hayride will take a path through a wood where ghoulish clowns unleash mayhem.

The first stop will be Purgatory, where the glow of jack-o-lanterns around the haunted village will set the ambience for the ride on undead horses on the Scary-Go-Round, the show at the Theatre Macabre, and a meeting with the resident psychic. Guests will want to stop in at the Bootique for an anniversary swag bag.

The traditional House of Shadows will have everyone stumbling through a dark maze, and the Trick Or Treat is where ghoulish residents will be passing out candy and causing havoc.

Guests’ photo can be picked up at the event website. These can be taken to nearby print shops as part of family calendars.

The opening night of the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride will be Saturday, September 29 starting at 7:00 pm and the Griffith Park Old Zoo. The ride will continue on Fridays, Saturday and Sundays until Halloween, as well as on October 31 itself. The event is not recommended for children under eight years old.
