Bistro reopens with bigger location

Black Trumpet Bistro Tapas & Wine Bar has moved to a new location, and is now open again on Huntington Beach’s Yorktown Avenue. The new restaurant is far larger than the previous space.

The Black Trumpet is a family-run restaurant that uses jazz as the inspiration for the décor. The space features a photo wall filled with colorful art, as well as photos of famous jazz artists. There is even a namesake black trumpet among the other objects on display. Businesses like this could distribute promotional products to customers to thank them for coming, and to spread the word of the move.

The inspiration for the food is as wide-ranging as jazz itself, drawing from the cuisines of Morocco, Greece, Spain, and France. Among the menu items are shrimp, steak, ravioli, French onion soup, and a number of tapas. Other choices include pan-roasted breast of duck with a pomegranate reduction, escargot (snails), Cornish game hen, and shish kebobs. Dishes range from small plates and dishes meant to be shared, to complete, hearty meals.

The restaurant has an extensive wine list, and serves wine by the glass as well as the bottle. Beer, bottled water, and Turkish coffee are also available, as are desserts such as lavender crème brûlée.

The Black Trumpet is open six days a week, closing on Mondays. Full information is on the website.
