Superheroes (and villains) on their way to Cincinnati

People will be able to cheer for their Marvel heroes and boo those they love to hate when Marvel Universe LIVE, a live-action arena show, comes to Cincinnati.

The show is a production of Feld Entertainment, which produces live entertainment experiences suitable for the entire family, with an average of 30 million people seeing their shows annually. In addition to the Marvel characters, Feld has produced shows such as Disney on Ice, and Monster Jam.

Marvel Universe LIVE uses characters from Marvel Entertainment to populate an original story that has been created specifically for this production. Heroes from Spider-Man, the Avengers, and the Guardians of the Galaxy team up to stop Loki, who wants to become the ruler of the universe. Loki, who is perhaps the ultimate “bad boy,” has proven to be a very popular character in this universe.

The performers include acrobats, aerialists, motorcyclists, and other skilled cast members who bring the well-known characters to life. The story moves from space to other locations such as New York City and the Savage Land, which are created using video projections. Advances in technology have made it possible for Spider-Man to throw his webs, Dr. Strange to fly, and Bruce Banner to turn into The Hulk in front of the audience.

Marvel Universe LIVE comes to Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena leading into this weekend, running September 20 to 23. Producers of events like this could distribute promotional products to audience members to remind them of upcoming shows.
