McHenry area event promises afternoon of family fun

September 17, 2018 by

Family friendly festivities, including a pig roast, will soon be on offer near McHenry. The proceeds of the occasion will be donated to a local organization working to change the way society views people with down’s syndrome.

Terra Vitae Farms in Woodstock will be the venue for the celebration and all ages are welcome. Porkies Pig Roast will be catering the event, and along with the food, there will be lots of activities for all ages to enjoy.

Guests at the function will be welcome to meet and visit with the farm animals, and there will also be face painting and a photo booth where they can capture the fun. Kids can try their hand at bobbing for apples, and a beanbag toss, pumpkin painting, a donut on a string contest and potato sack race all promise to offer laughs for everyone.

The ticket prices for this community event start at $1 for kids and $20 for adults, and children under five will be admitted free. A specially priced family fun pack is available, and donations will be welcome. Banner printing services for this type of function can be sourced from a local printer, and this can help to build the festive air of the occasion.

Farmapalooza 2018 will be taking place this year on October 14. Everyone is welcome to attend.
