McKinney fundraiser to help local kids find forever families

September 17, 2018 by

There are many children in the state’s foster care system who are in need of a loving and stable family home, and McKinney residents will have an opportunity to help them find one.

Adriatica Village will be the location for an evening of food, fun, and friendship. A variety of local chefs will be lending their talents to the occasion, and the price per ticket starts at $50 each.

Each ticket holder will be entitled to enjoy an assortment of samples of the various dishes that will be on offer, and they can try as many as they like. They will also receive two tickets that can be redeemed for a glass of beer, wine, or a soft drink, and the Maylee Thomas Band has been engaged to provide the entertainment for the occasion. Live and silent auctions will also be on offer, and all of the proceeds will be donated to Embrace Texas to help it in its efforts to secure families for all the children in the state who are waiting and hoping to find one to call their own.

While the occasion may be all about helping kids, it is only open to those who are 18 and over. A printer that crafts promotional products will be able to supply custom drinkware for an event like this.

Taste of McKinney has been planned for November 3rd. It will begin at 7:00 pm and will be taking place at 6633 Virginia Parkway.
