San Rafael to host eco-conscious event

September 16, 2018 by

This October, the National Bioneers Conference will be hosted in San Rafael. Bioneers is all about transforming the world in a positive way. This conference will examine this idea more closely, as well as suggesting potential actions to be taken.

The theme of the conference this year is ‘Pathways Forward’ and it will examine the current status of the world in terms of natural sciences and ecologies. One of the driving ideas behind the theme is that there is time to change, and that there are still things humans can do to keep the planet healthy.

There will be multiple speakers and various subthemes, such as climate leadership, gender equality, social transformation, and the potential of plants. The speakers are all leaders in their respective fields of study.

The conference will run from a Thursday through a Monday. Events like this one often use printing services for their events; flyers and other handouts are printed, business cards often get passed around, and schedules and maps are usually available on paper to attendees as well.

The conference will be hosted at the Marin Center in San Rafael. The first talk will be on Thursday, October 18, although the official opening is on Friday, October 19. The last part of the conference will be on Monday, October 22. Tickets are currently on sale.
