Redding revelers are gearing up for the Redding Auditorium’s first music festival, the 2018 Redd Sun Festival, which will be coming at the end of September. The two-day event will have one day of rock and the other will be pure country.

Saturday’s headliner will be multiplatinum rock act AWOLNATION, with another multiplatinum group Candlebox taking to the stage before them. Floater and punk-pop band Lit will perform earlier in the evening.

Modern Country Eli Band will headline the next night. Other performers will be Faren Rachels, David Luning, Carly Pearce, and country blues rocker Frankie Ballard.

General admission tickets start at $85 per day, and VIP tickets start at $185 per day. Two-day general tickets go for $155 while two-day VIP tickets cost $275. VIP tickets include special admittance to the viewing area near the stage, designated restrooms, drinks and hors d’oeurvres.

Eight food and eight drink tents will be open for business, and seven merchandise vendors will be setting up around the venue. These vendors will be selling merchandise touting the event’s graphic design.

Net proceeds plus $5 per ticket will go to the Shasta Regional Community Foundation’s Carr Fire Relief Fund.

Redd Sun Festival is scheduled for September 29 through 30 on the Redding Civic Auditorium lawn at 700 Auditorium Drive. Gates open at 1:00 pm and performances start at 4:00 pm on Saturday and 3:00 pm on Sunday.
