Hohokus invited to celebrate career of area first responder

September 13, 2018 by

One of Upper Saddle River Fire Department’s members will soon be retiring after years as a first responder, and people from Hohokus and the surrounding communities have been invited to come out and wish him well.

Chief Larry Rauch will be hanging up his coat and helmet, and his colleagues have planned a “wetdown” to mark the occasion. The event will have a party atmosphere, and there will be lots of fun for all ages to enjoy.

Guests at the function will be able to sip on a soft drink, and the adults in the crowd can also relax and socialize over a beer or other “hard” beverage. Live music will keep the crowd entertained, and there will also be food and other refreshments available. The attendees will have an opportunity to thank Chief Rauch for all his hard work and sacrifice over the course of his career, and sponsorships from the local business community will be welcome.

Shirts and mugs will be offered to the crowd for anyone who would like to purchase a memento of the occasion, and any surplus funds will be passed along to the NJ Fireman’s Home to help support its efforts. Banner printing for a special celebration like this can be sourced from a printer in the local area.

This opportunity for locals to celebrate the career of Chief Rauch and the rest of the department will be held on October 13. It will be taking place at 375 West Saddle River Road.
