Information session on offer for prospective Miami foster parents

September 8, 2018 by

There are many children in Miami who are in need of a loving and supportive family, and those who are interested in opening their home to a foster child may wish to take part in an upcoming information session.

This meeting, which can be the first step in the process of becoming a foster parent, will provide details about the program. There is no admission price to attend, and anyone who is interested is welcome.

After they have participated in the information session, the attendees can then be a part of ‘Parent Resources, Information, Development and Education’ training workshops that will take place over a span of seven weeks. The organizers explained that the goal of these events is to help provide homes for children who need a stable and nurturing family environment.

These sessions have been planned by Our Kids of Miami Dade/Monroe Inc., and the initial information meeting will be held in the North Dade Regional Library in Miami Gardens. Brochure printing and other promotional services for this sort of event can be provided by an area printer.

Anyone who is interested in taking part in this opportunity to provide a safe haven for a child in need has been invited to attend ‘Become A Foster or Adoptive Parent’, which will be held on October 1. More details are available on its online listing.
