St. Louis warms up for yearly music festival

September 6, 2018 by

LouFest is coming to St. Louis, and the festival has released the times of the concerts planned for the Forest Park venue.

The LouFest Music Festival is held annually over two days, and features music of all kinds, from soul to indie-rock to country. There are four stages providing the setting for numerous acts from around the region and across the country, as well as a children’s village and stage, a vendors’ area, and of course, a food court, with goodies provided by St. Louis neighborhood restaurants. Organizers of events like this can work with banner printing to create decorations to enhance the experience.

Disappointing news for some will be that Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real have had to pull out of the event, due to a scheduling conflict with his upcoming film ‘A Star is Born’. He will appear alongside Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, and is also an intrinsic part of the soundtrack. Festival organizers promise Nelson will be back in 2019.

A full list of performances and times can be found on the LouFest website, but performers include Modest Mouse, Durand Jones & the Indications, and Mt. Joy. Perhaps the most famous name on the entire bill appears as the final act on the Main Stage, in the shape of Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters. Plant is the lead singer of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin.

LouFest explodes on the scene this weekend, September 8 and 9.
