Dallas hotel takes top spot for revenue generation in Texas

A recently released report from Source Strategies Inc., a consulting and research firm for hotels, reveals the leading revenue generating hotel in Texas for 2018’s second quarter was the Ritz-Carlton Dallas.

Using the metric of revenue per available room (RevPAR) the San Antonio-based firm ascertained the financial success of Lone Star State hotels. In addition to taking the No. 1 spot recently, the Ritz-Carlton Dallas was also at the top of the RevPAR heap in 2017.

This year, the 218-room upscale hotel came in at a RevPAR of $354.44 during the second quarter, which was an 11.8% increase from its RevPAR of $317.11 for the same time in 2017.

No. 2 on the list was San Antonio’s Hotel Emma, which made the impressive jump from its No.10 position last year. The No. 3 place was filled by Four Seasons Austin, down one place from 12 months ago.

Individual hotels, as well as hotel chains, often partner with printing services to provide potential guests with colorful brochures to entice them.

Two other Dallas hotels placed in the top 10: Joule at No. 5 and Turtle Creek at No. 6. The city also had a total of 45 hotels in the top 500. Austin had the most top 500 hotels with 77, next was Houston with 51, followed by San Antonio and Midland with 45 and 33 respectively.
