Clovis area class to craft hand blown glass pumpkins

September 4, 2018 by

Glass blowing is an art form that has been practiced for centuries, and a Clovis area workshop will give members of the public an opportunity to try their hand at crafting their very own hand-blown piece.

The class will see students use glass working techniques to craft a pumpkin, which they will be able to take home with them. It will be a hands-on activity, and each piece created will be unique.

The facilitators of the workshop will guide the class through the process of glass blowing, and the participants will select their own color. They will also inflate the glass bubble, shape and mold it, and then blow it up it to its final shape. After this, one of the team members that will be hosting the class will add a stem and the pumpkin will be complete.

The event is scheduled to take two hours, and there are spaces available for up to eight participants. It is open to anyone who is at least one year older, and light refreshments will be served. A printing services provider can create postcards and other direct mail items that can be sent to local households to let them know when and where an event like this will be taking place.

The Blow Your Own Pumpkin class will be taking place on October 20. It is being hosted by Ballis Glass, which is located at 2888 North Sunnyside #104 in Fresno.
