Cedar Park class to share baby care basics

The birth of a baby can be a wonderful but daunting experience, and families that are registered with Cedar Park Medical Center are invited to attend a workshop that will teach a variety of parenting skills.

The class, which will be facilitated by both a lactation consultant and a Registered Nurse, is open to expectant parents who are registered to have their baby at the medical facility. There is no charge to participate, and it will cover some of the basic fundamentals of newborn care.

Students in the class will learn about what they can expect when they first meet their new son or daughter, as well as what procedures will take place in the epistle after the birth. The various medical test that will be offered will be reviewed, and tips will be shred for choosing a pediatrician.

Along with information that may be helpful in the hospital, the parents will receive information about caring their new son or daughter, including advice about feeding, diapering, soothing, and sleeping. Safety will also be discussed, and the goal is to help the future mothers and fathers become more confident in their ability to parent their child.

The class is scheduled to run for approximate two and a half hours, and as space is limited, anyone who is interested is asked to register ahead of time. Poster printing techniques can be used to craft an assortment of effective promotional products for this type of event.

The newborn care class will be taking place on October 9 at 1401 Medical Parkway in Cedar Park. It is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.
