Danbury welcomes fall with music and arts festival

September 2, 2018 by

Ives Concert Park will be holding September Fest 2018 in a couple of weeks. The fest will be a music and arts festival with food, music, and arts and crafts. Everyone is invited to bring blankets and chairs to use at the main stage and in the picnic area.

Live music will be presented by Sketchy At Best, Pocket Hotties, Moonshine, What Up Funk, and Alpaca Gnomes.

Adults attending the large beverage area will be entertained by three local DJs, while the children will have their own area with face painting, bouncy houses, and balloons. Kids and adults alike can play corn hole and try their luck at the huge Jenga game.

Local artists and craftspeople will be displaying and selling their original works. Many festivalgoers like to collect these artisans’ businesses cards to get in touch with them for custom work at a later date.

Attendees will want to remember to bring their acoustic instruments so they can join in the acoustic jam session. Of course the event will have food trucks too, some of which will be Greek Style Grill, Macs Food Truck, Booth Bay Lobster, and Sandwedge King’s.

September Fest 2018 will take place on Sunday, September 16 at Danbury’s Ives Concert Park, 43 Lake Avenue Ext. from noon until 9:30 pm. Tickets are $27.50.
