New apartments to come to downtown Spartanburg

September 1, 2018 by

Owner and developer Royce Camp has announced that construction is close to completion on the 98 Main and Morgan apartments in downtown Spartanburg.

The apartments are located next door to the F.T. Cantrell Wagon apartments, which were also built by Camp and Livia Cantrell, his partner, and will be his fifth such property in the downtown area.

Camp has been building apartment buildings since 2000, when the F.T. Cantrell Wagon building was completed. He had been building hotels but wanted to diversify when he saw that people were looking to live in the downtown area in a more urban setting.

Completion of the building is being done from the top down. This means that the penthouse, which has a panoramic view of the city as well as two balconies and two bedrooms, is done, and will be followed by pouring of the concrete for the lower levels.

Rent for the new apartments will be between $900 and $2,700 with most of the rentals being between $1,200 and $1,400. The ground floor will have two to three restaurant or retail establishments. Brochure printing can be used for such projects with more details about the apartment amenities, features of area, and other items of interest to potential new renters.

Construction on the apartments is expected to be completed later this month.
