Garden party planned for Bend

Bend’s High Desert Food & Farm Alliance (HDFFA) has organized a special event that will show its members, along with their guests, how their efforts are making a difference in the local community.

The board of directors and staff of HDFFA have planned a garden party, and those who attend will have a chance to find out what the organization has been doing to promote food security and a sustainable food system in central Oregon. There is no fee being charged to participate.

The guests at the function will be treated to a variety of savory pies as well as a freshly made salad and dessert. Cocktails and drinks will also be poured, and there will be lots of time to network, socialize and build connections with others in the community interested in ensuring everyone in the area has access to healthy food.

HDFFA’s staff and board members will be in attendance during this special occasion, and those who attend will have a chance to meet them and discuss the topic of sustainable food systems. Banner printing services for this type of function can be sourced from a locally based printer.

The HDFFA Garden Party will be taking place on Friday, September 7. It will be held at 1166 Northeast 10th Street, and is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm.
