Rockville Centre oyster lovers prepare to enjoy local feast

August 29, 2018 by

This September, the Rockville Centre area will be the place to be for those who enjoy a feed of fresh oysters while they have fun with friends old and new.

This will be the third year for the Long Beach Oyster Fest and is open to those who are age 21 and over. Shellfish will be served along with Dos Equis and Heineken beers, and Trish Torrales has been booked to provide entertainment for the occasion.

Both Lucky 13 and Peconic Gold oysters will be on the menu for the occasion, and the event has been planned to be casual and laid back. While the attendees enjoy a feed of oysters, there will be lots of opportunities for them to socialize and get to know one another. A prize drawing for a trip on Jet Blue has been included in the plans for the festivities, and at the end of the day, the shells will be gathered up and used to help build the marsh on Lido Beach.

This seafood-themed event will be held rain or shine, and tickets are being sold for $20.00 each. Logo design and other print services for this sort of occasion can be sourced from a local printer.

This feast for seafood lovers will be held on September 15th. JJ Coopers – American Restaurant & Bar in Long Beach will be hosting the event.
