Workshop to share secrets to updating furniture

Refinishing can be an easy and inexpensive way to breathe new life into an old piece of furniture, and residents of Royersford who would like to learn more about how they can take on a project like this themselves are welcome to be a part of an event near them.

This will be Pottstown’s Salvaged Workshop’s first ever Bring Your Own Furniture Piece Boot Camp. Those who participate will learn tips and tricks they can use to revitalize an old chair, dresser, chair, foot stool or other item, and the materials and tools they might need to complete the project will be provided.

The workshop, open to anyone age 21 or over, will be facilitated by someone with years of experience in updating furniture. They will offer advice, teach techniques and may even lend a hand if needed. Each person participating is asked to submit a photo of the item they would like to work on for approval at least a week before the class is scheduled to begin.

The ticket price for this event, which will run throughout the day, is $249.00 each. Flyer printing can be used to create materials that promote an opportunity like this to the surrounding communities.

The date for this workshop has been set as September 22nd, and the photos of the items must be submitted one week ahead of time. The location where it will be held will be released closer to the date for the event.
