Peoria invited to Oktoberfest this fall

August 25, 2018 by

Peoria will be showing off its German side during an event that will offer an Oktoberfest-themed experience.

The two-day celebration has been planned for Centennial Plaza and will include fun for the whole family. There will be food, music and other aspects of traditional German culture, and will run from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on both of the days it will be held.

The fun will kick off with an official keg tapping at 6:00 pm on the first day, and guests will also be able to enjoy pretzels, bratwurst, beer and other treats. The organizers have planned an assortment of fun competitions for the occasion, and prizes will be awarded to the winners. All ages can go for a spin on the rides that will be on offer, and those who enjoy retail therapy can head to the vendor area to browse through all their displays.

Tickets for this autumn celebration are being sold for $5.00 each, and anyone who is age 20 or under will be admitted free of charge. Banner printing and other print services for this type of community event can be provided by a local print shop.

October 5th and 6th have been selected as the dates for this celebration. Anyone who would like to find out more has been invited to visit the festival’s online listing.
