Art show set to return to Petaluma

August 24, 2018 by

For the past 60 years, the Petaluma Arts Association has hosted a special community-based event that showcases all the local artistic community has to offer, and 2018 will be no exception.

The 61st annual “Art in the Park” will be back for another year, and a wide variety of artistic genres will be represented. The public is invited to come and browse through all of the items that will be on display and meet some of the artists who created them.

Everything from photos to paintings to jewelry and textiles will be included in the show, and in some cases, the creators themselves will be on hand to demonstrate how they craft their works. Visitors can ask questions and learn more about the inspiration behind their pieces.

While guests at the art show enjoy themselves, they will be able to feel good knowing that they have helped to support the education of children in the local area, as the proceeds will be donated to Petaluma’s schools and the Santa Rosa Junior College to help fund their arts programming. A brochure printing company will be able to supply printed programs and other materials for this sort of event.

This year, Art in the Park will be held on September 8th and 9th in Walnut Park. Additional information about the occasion can be found on the Visit Petaluma website.
