Riverside two charity fundraisers: same night same venue

August 22, 2018 by

Residents here in Riverside who wish to support local youth charities will have two options on one night in September.

Inspire Life Skills’ 13th Annual Make a Difference fundraiser and dinner will take place first. The event will begin with an upscale reception. That will be followed by a dinner. Local businesses are currently donating items for the live auction and raffles. Some youth that are presently in the program will be relating their survival stories.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to Inspire Life Skills Training Inc. This organization trains local homeless and former foster teens through a mentoring program.

The Riverside Police Foundation will be raising money for city youth with its 8th Annual Golden Badge Awards event on the same night at the same venue. That will also be a dinner and live auction. There will be a silent auction component as well. The evening’s program will consist of commending outstanding community members with Golden Badge awards.

Local business owners who attend either of these events will want to be sure to bring their business cards and have a few on hand for possible networking opportunities.

Inspire’s dinner and fundraiser will be Saturday September 8th from 5:30 pm until 9 pm at Riverside Convention Center, 3637 5th Street.

The Golden Badge Awards will begin a half-hour later at 6 pm and go until 10 pm also at the Riverside Convention Center.
