Annual festival returns to say goodbye to summer

August 21, 2018 by

One of the last summer fairs taking place in the Smithtown area this year will be the 28th annual Al Hornberg Nesconset Street Fair. It is presented by the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce.

The festivities will take place on Smithtown Boulevard, at Nesconset Gazebo and in Nesconset Plaza. There will be a variety of activities taking place over the course of the day that are sure to appeal to people of all ages.

For the children, there will be activities such as face painting, bounce houses and a petting zoo.

For adults, there will be live musical entertainment and the opportunity to donate to the blood mobile. In addition, vendors will be on hand to sell food, arts and crafts and general merchandise. Vendor spaces are available for rental until August 26. For a 10 x 10-foot space it is $150 for non-food merchandise, $250 for food and $75 for Nesconset Chamber of Commerce members.

No doubt this event will attract many visitors from Smithtown and other nearby communities. To help spread the word, organizers often invest in flyer printing services from local print shops.

The Al Hornberg Nesconset Street Fair will be held on September 9 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. To learn more about this or to become a vendor, call 631-724-2543.
