Art returns to downtown Lafayette this fall

The 23rd Art and Wine Festival is taking place in Lafayette next month for two days.

A presentation of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, this popular event usually attracts approximately 80,000 visitors each year. There will be over 250 arts and crafts booths, food vendors, four stages, and a Kids’ Zone.

The arts and crafts booths will be set up in Artists Alley at La Fiesta Square. Vendors will be selling handmade jewelry, clothing, pottery, fine art, and many other unique items. The Kids’ Zone will also be set up at La Fiesta Square. It will feature activities such as bungee jumping and a children’s train. There will also be entertainment from groups such as the Peter Pan Foundation and bands like 7 PM, Free T-Shirts, and Funkmode.

There will be three more stages set up at the festival grounds. They will feature musical acts such as Annie Sampson, Bob Athayde and Friends, and Sunny and the Black Pack.

Of course, there will also be plenty of food vendors, wineries and breweries on hand to sell their products. Drink tickets cost $7 each and guests must also purchase a festival glass.
