All ages event set to return to McKinney

When the autumn days begin to cool down, McKinney will be heating up with a festival that promises an afternoon of music, wine and fun with friends.

Those who come to the second annual McKinney Wine and Music festival will be able to enjoy a selection of wines from across the state, and food, music, and other entertainment are also on the agenda. There will be something to do for all ages, and the whole family is welcome.

Over 100 wines from all across Texas and California will be being poured, and there will also be beer and cocktails on offer as well. Some of North Texas’s top culinary experts will be providing demonstrations of their craft, and there will also be a vendor area with lots of displays to browse through.

Those who really want to kick up their heels can try their luck in the grape stomping competition, and while the adults enjoy themselves, the younger guests can head to the play zone that will be set up just for them. While it is free to enter the festivities, wine tasting tickets can be purchased for $20 for 10, and this includes a specially designed tasting glass. T-shirts are also available, and a local printer can be called upon to use graphic design to craft items such as these.

This celebration of Texas’ wine making heritage will be held on October 20 at 6633 Virginia Parkway in McKinney. It will run from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
