For those who remember the music of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead, there will be a Forever Grateful Music Fest coming this weekend

Cover bands will be playing music from the ‘60s made famous by iconic artists such as Phish, Allman Brothers, Bob Marley, and Jerry. Bands will also be playing blue grass and funk.

The lineup includes the Stella Blues Band and Shakedown each paying tribute to the Grateful Dead, Uncle Ebenezer paying homage to Phish, Brother of the Road recreating the Allman Brothers’ music, and Bob Marley tribute band Inbassa & Friends. The Brotherhood will be playing funk and Union Rail will belt out bluegrass.

Everyone is invited to bring blankets and chairs and kick back and enjoy the music, or get up and dance. Food will be available for purchase from local food vendors.

General admission prices will be $15 for Friday night and $25 for Saturday.

VIP tickets, priced at $70, will include admission to both nights’ festivities, food and drink vouchers, reserved seating, VIP lanyards, and Forever Grateful T-shirts with the festival’s logo design on the front.

The Forever Grateful Music Fest is slated for Friday, August 10 from 5:00 to 10:30 pm, and Saturday, August 11 from 1:00 until 10:30 pm at Ives Concert Park at Connecticut State University Westside Campus. Doors will open at 5:00 pm with the shows beginning at 6:00 pm.
