Coral Springs runners will be dusting off their running shoes and getting ready to participate in the Coral Springs Remembrance 5K/Walk coming in September.

All runners will receive event T-shirts touting the event’s graphic design and finishers will receive participation medals.

Tickets ran $25 for early-bird online registration under to August 4, and are now $30, going up to $40 on race day. Those students 19 and under can get tickets for $15 while Emergency Service personnel who are running the 5K can participate for $20.

Walkers with strollers will be welcome but these participants must begin their walk at the back of the pack.

Awards will be handed out to the top three overall females and male racers as determined by Gun Time, and to the top three male and female finishers in the 16 age categories according to Net Chip Time.

Top Team awards will also be distributed. Categories for these include Fire Rescue Departments, EMT/Paramedic Departments, Law Enforcement and a Top Club award for the team with the most members.

Local food vendors will be meeting the racers at the finish line as part of the post-race party.

The Coral Springs Remembrance 5K Run/Walk will be Saturday, September 8, starting at 7:00 am at NorthWest Regional Library, 3151 University Drive. Registration and packet pick-up will begin at 6:00 am.
