Conroe enjoys circus tradition

The Garden Bros Circus, an Ice Capades production, will be coming to town in September.

This 1½ hour three-ring circus will have over 60 performers from 18 countries, as well as elephants.

The acts will include Chinese acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, the Human Pyramid, aerial artists, the Crazy Cossack horse-back riders, camels, and elephants. Six motorcyclists will be performing simultaneously in the Sphere of Fear. There will also be plenty of clowns.

Children will get an opportunity to ride the horses and elephants, experience inflatables in the Kids Fun Zone, and enjoy Circus treats like sno-cones and cotton candy. Parents will want to get some good photos of their little ones for possible poster printing.

Tickets are $12.50 for the first 100 adults to buy them online. General adult admission is $25, and $10 for children. VIP ringside seats will be $35 for adults and $20 per child. A family of four can purchase a special package of VIP tickets for $70. Free children’s tickets have been distributed at local daycare centers, pre-schools and elementary schools and are available at local businesses sponsoring the event.

The Garden Bros. Circus will be coming to the Lone Star Convention and Expo Center, 9055 Airport Road on Wednesday, September 12, with show times at 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Doors open one hour before each performance and seating is first come, first served.
