Sugar Rush coming to Cincinnati

August 8, 2018 by

Those Cincinnati residents who have a sweet tooth also have a reason to smile: Sugar Rush is coming soon to the Cincinnati Art Museum, so attendees can combine their taste for sugar with their love of art.

There will be a few savory treats on hand, but most of the goodies are sweets such as pastries, pies, donuts, ice cream, cupcakes, and chocolate. Participants include Graeter’s Ice Cream, Holtman’s Donuts, Maribelle Cakery, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Chocolats Latour, Duck Donuts, and Lenny’s Cold Rolled Creamery. Savory goodies will be served by The Bagelry and Couch Family Barbeque, among others.

People who attend the event will be able to vote for their favorite treat, and the winner will receive not only bragging rights, but also an award they will be able to display on their premises for a year. Expert judges will form a panel to award special recognition to those who display the most creativity in their work.

Sugar Rush is scheduled for August 8, from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm. People of all ages are welcome, and children under eight can attend for free in the company of a paying adult. Tickets are $20, and the price includes the treats as well as admission to the ‘Terracotta Army: Legacy of the First Emperor of China’ exhibit.

Banner printing companies can help decorate the venue prior to events like this.
