Film buffs will be gathering in Oakdale this summer to enjoy a screening of the 1995 movie ‘Persuasion’, and all who are interested are welcome to take part in this free event.

The Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA-Minnesota Region) has organized the occasion, and it will be hosted by the Oakdale Library at its branch at 1010 Heron Avenue North. The audience members are invited to bring along a comfortable pillow and blanket and wear casual clothes so they can relax and enjoy the show.

The attendees will gather together starting at 10:00 am for a cup of tea and some time to socialize before the film, and at 10:30 am, the curtain will be going up. There is no charge to be included in the fun, and guests are welcome to bring along their favorite movie time snacks.

While admission to the show is free of charge, anyone who is interested has been asked to register at least a week ahead of time, as this will aid in planning the occasion. Poster printing techniques can be used by a printer to create materials that promote an event like this in the local community.

This film version of classic a Jane Austen novel will be shown on August 11. More information and an opportunity to RSVP to attend can be found on its event listing.
