Napa’s Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Copia has planned a workshop that will lead local wine lovers through an exploration of the world of sparkling wines .

The class, which is open to anyone who is age 21 or older, will provide and introduction to “bubblies” from all over the world. It will also explain the difference between sparkling wines and true champagnes, and there will be lots of opportunities for tasting.

The workshop’s facilitators will discuss how these wines are produced and the different flavors that come from various regions of the globe. They will also provide tips and hints for how to choose which one to buy and provide suggested pairings that can aid in showing them off to their best advantage.

Each of the students will be offered a chance to sample wines from a variety of price ranges and discover which ones they like best and can fit into their budget. A printing company in the local area can be called upon to supply an event like this with custom drinkware and other promotional products.

This exploration of the world of bubbly beverages has been organized for the afternoon of August 25, and it will begin at 4:00 pm. The registration fee has been set at $35 each, and it will be held at 500 1st Street in Napa.
