Schenectady all set up for improvisational fun

July 24, 2018 by

This weekend, there will be one person emerging as the ‘Maestro’ at The Mopco Improv Theatre in Schenectady. A comedic lineup of improvisers from across the region will participate in the improv championship.

Actors will perform in a variety of scenes, as well as songs in front of a live audience. As the rounds progress, the contestants are eliminated with the stakes rising higher each session. In the end, the audience will decide who the winner is to be crowned the ‘Maestro’.

Often, printing services will have several orders for business card printing when events of this nature take place. Performers like to have the cards available to hand out for people who may be looking to hire them in the future.

The venue team states the event is about inspiring the audience and performers, and no one will be teased or humiliated. Volunteers are often asked to join the group onstage, which engages the visitors and creates a lively show. The audience is encouraged to cheer for the contestants.

The show will take place this Friday, July 27, from 8:00 to 10:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased online starting at $6. Parking is available on the street on Union and N Jay near the theatre. Other lots are also available within a short walking distance. For more information, visit the website of The Mopco Improv Theatre.
